Blog EntryCrossposting to WordpressOct 20, '07 5:45 PM
by Λεωνίδας for everyone
I see that cross posting is available for Blogger, TypePad, Xanga, Windows Live Spaces, and LiveJournal. Are there plans to also allow cross posting to Wordpress? I personally have 2 blogs on Wordpress.com and one on Blogsome.com as well as one hosted blog and I would love to be able to crosspost to a Wordpress Blog. It also seems that there are lots of other Wordpress blogs out there.

Thanks.

Hi, firstly I could not see anywhere where I could post a suggestion so I am taking a chance and posting it in the reply section here. Can we get feeds onto our blog? Someone said I could get a widget or something.I have tried all kinds of things and am getting nowhere. Could you make places and ways for feeds as an added feature please?

to post a new suggestion, click the "post" link at the top of any page from within multiply. if you want to post to your personal site, use the top line of options. if you want to post to a specific group (like muds) find the group in the list below, click that link, and then choose the kind of post you would like to make.

as far as getting a feed onto your blog, do you mean that you want to have a feed from another blog that's outside of multiply be included within a blog post of your own? or do you want a blog entry that you've made to another site to automatically post here as well. the first type is not possible as far as i know, because multiply doesn't pull in feeds from other sites in the way that some social aggregators do. but crossposting is definitely possible.

Don't forget that WordPress is open source software (wordpress.org). Lots of us (me included) have our own WordPress blog set up on our own domain and own host. So support for WordPress.com really isn't enough. It should be available to any WordPress users.
